XI. International Conference in the series "Geoecological problems of the Karkonosze Mountains"

The next bilateral scientitic conference in the series “Geoecological problems of the Karkonosze Mountains” will be held on 5–7 October 2023 in Jelenia Góra Sobieszów, in the Nature Educational Centre of the Karkonosze National Park.
In connection with the UNESCO-endorsed World Geodiversity Day, celebrated on 6 October, the main theme of the conference will be “Karkonosze – outstanding geodiversity and its implications” (official language of the conference will be English). We envisage three plenary sessions, focused on geodiversity, geodiversity as a factor underpinning biodiversity and geodiversity as a background of cultural heritage and contemporary use of terrain. Apart from presentations related to the main theme the conference will provide a venue to present results of other, more specialist research projects carried out in the Karkonosze Mountains and their immediate surroundings.
